Creamy lentil and vegetable soup.
To make bang in the slow cooker:
2 lamb shanks* or similar, something with bones in it!
2 litres ish of water
2 tsp of vinegar
Cook for 8 hours or over night.*
*make it vegetarian and vegan by taking out this step and use vegetable stock instead.
Add 2 to 4 cups of split red lentils
and 3 cups of precooked brown lentils
Cook for another few hours
Add 5 to 8 grated carrots, 4 to 6 celery stalks + leaves and 1 large bunch of shredded silverbeet. Heat until veggies are soft.
Time in the kitchen: 15 to 20 minutes prep time, hours and hours cook time.
