Fig and Walnut Stuffed Pears

Stuffed pears! These are great as a healthy dessert, breakfast or addition for the lunchbox.

To make: take the core out of the pear and stuff.

Bake at 160 for 10 – 20 minutes, depending on how soft you like the fruit and the size of the fruit.

For the stuffing: Anything goes really and the below amounts will make enough for 6 to 10 pieces of fruit:

1/2 cup dried fruit figs, dates, raisins, apricots

1/2 cup of walnuts, cashews or nuts of your choice or 1/4 cup peanut butter

2 tablespoons of butter

30 mls of cream, coconut cream or milk.
